Georgiana Logan, PhD, MS
Founder and Executive Director
Men's Health Equity Institute was founded in 2020 by Dr. Georgiana Logan a Flint, Michigan native. Dr. Logan holds a Ph.D. in Health Education and Health Promotion from The University of Alabama and a Master's degree in Health Education from The University of Michigan.
Dr. Logan is a thought-provoking educator and a renowned professional development strategist and mentor with over 20 years of experience in the workforce. She serves on several academic, state, and national health and diversity committees. She has also received numerous awards and multiple requests to speak nationally. Lastly, Dr. Logan has presented at numerous local, state, and national conferences on her research endeavors which include; health disparities, men's health, environmental justice, and fatherhood.
Jacinta Logan, BA
Organization Management
Ms. Jacinta Logan is a Flint, Michigan native and graduate from University of Michigan-Flint, where she received her Bachelors of Art in Africana Studies. She specializes in health disparities, sexual wellness and risk reduction intervention, youth mental health associated with self-esteem, and education literacy through STEM mentor support services for youth.
Ms. Logan is passionate and motivated to support low-income and marginalized communities through capacity building and community outreach. Ms. Logan was a proud member of AmeriCorps Vista for many years as a Family Engagement Liaison and currently serves as a Medical Case Manager for individuals who have been diagnosed with HIV/AIDS. Through her works, she considers herself a proud LGBTQ+ advocate and ally. Ms. Logan has over 15 years of experience as a Master cosmetologist, where she specializes in beautification services to help women/men look and feel their best.
Antione Martin, MPH
Finance, Grants, and Donations
Mr. Antione Martin is a graduate of University of Michigan-Flint, where he received his Master’s in Public Health. Prior to his graduate studies, Mr. Martin earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Modern Languages at Georgia Southern University. He specializes in health education & promotion, risk reduction intervention, health equity, and diversity & inclusion.
Mr. Martin is passionate and motivated to support communities in building sustainable infrastructures that cultivate economic growth, health equity, access to affordable housing, and equal employment opportunities. In his free time, Mr. Martin invests his time providing guidance and support to youth & adults in their personal and social growth to become the best versions of themselves.
Kristen Allen-Watts, PhD, MPH
Program Development, Program Evaluation, and Community Partnerships
Dr. Allen Watts is an early-stage investigator, with a Ph.D. in Health Education and Health Promotion from the University of Alabama. Dr. Allen Watts is establishing a program of research focused on conducting research in managing chronic overlapping medical conditions among underserved, older adults.
As a health educator, Dr. Allen Watts has educated several students, community leaders, caregivers, and creators of public policy on various health related issues, and prevention methods. She also has experience in coordinating and developing intervention programs that help support, build, and provide resources to underserved communities. As a community advocate, Dr. Allen Watts has provided resources to facilitate community led action in underserved areas and engaged community partners to advocate for change at the policy level.
Dashauna Ballard, PhD, MPH

Dr. Dashauna M. Ballard currently serves as a Postdoctoral Fellow with a Ph.D. in Health Education and Health Promotion from The University of Alabama. Prior to pursuing her postgraduate studies, she received her Master's degree in Public Health in 2014 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Dr. Ballard has extensive knowledge in Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR). She has participated in various community-led programs and public speaking engagements related to health disparities and stigma associated with COVID-19. Her research interests also include mental health awareness and bullying prevention in the minority/underserved youth population. Ms. Ballard is the recipient of several awards, including the "innovative technology" award, which recognized her efforts to promote STEM among at-risk students.
